History
=======

    This map was created in autumn-2002, shortly after release
    of two great games, Hitman 2 and N.O.L.F. 2, as you know
    there are "japanese" levels in both of them.
    (And later, there was a japanese level in that 007:Nightfire
    piece of crap... What a coincidence, hmmm... :-)

    Most of the map was built in about one week, then there was
    about a month of playtesting & fixing things.
    Then it was abandoned for quite a long time...

>>> 29-Sep-2003:
    Moved some brushes, changed some textures, added/removed some
    entities... Fixed (at last!) the last two major bugs, now the
    map is ready!

Map features
============

    - very good looking (IMHO ;), especially considering filesize
    - well known "mansion"-like layout
    - CTs can get onto the wall using ladder
    - CTs can get into the house by many ways
    - CTs and Ts can walk on the 1st level roof,
      and shoot enemies from outside!
    - many walls are thin enough to shoot through
    - crickets stop "singing" if they feel someone near them
    - Ts can turn off the light to ambush CTs in the house
    - Ts can hide in the wardrobe in the dark room
    - Ts can hide in the big box on the 1st floor to control the tunnel exit
    - Ts can hide in the water basin

Known bad things
================

    - r_speeds > 1400 at CT start
        (although it's not a problem with a modern GeForce-level cards...
        it even runs quite acceptable on our Cel-733/Vanta 8MB machines ;-)
    - sliding main doors looks bad from the distance
    - ligts on the stairs can't be turned off
        ("too many lights" error - limitations of the HL engine)
    - lack of furniture in the house
        (I removed some things to improve r_speeds)
    - ridiculous transparent (destructible) panels in the "dojo"
        (engine limitations, again)

(Are you still reading this? Wow...:)
